Eastern Christian School is seeking a Gifted and Talented Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year.
The Gifted and Talented Teacher is responsible for working with their principals, support staff and teacher colleagues to meet the needs of students who are academically talented by designing and providing advanced curriculum, enriched units, instruction in process skills, and effective growth experiences. Additionally, this teacher will lead K-5 STEAM classes.
Responsibilities of the Gifted and Talented Teacher:
- Serve students in grades K-5 in a push-in and/or pull-out program.
- Coordinate the identification and placement of gifted students and communicate with parents.
- Develop and plan a creative program of study that meets individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students.
- Assess the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provide regular progress reports to building administrators, classroom teachers, and parents.
- Provide support and professional development for classroom teachers in delivery of differentiated content to support accelerated learning in the general education classroom.

Dean of Students

Eastern Christian High School is seeking a Dean of Students for the 2024-2025 school year.
Under the guidance of the Principal, the Dean of Students creates and maintains a safe, healthy, and supportive school environment and culture. The Deans serve as case managers for students, providing guidance & support, and ensuring that issues are proactively handled so students can be successful.
Academic Guidance and Advising
- Provide individual academic advising for students.
- Meet with students to set personal and academic goals and evaluate progress towards meeting those goals.
- Identify students at risk for academic, behavior, spiritual or social concerns.
- Develop and implement individual programs for at-risk students.
- Assist the faculty in developing, implementing, and monitoring prescribed interventions for individual students.
Scheduling
- In collaboration with the principal, create and maintain the master schedule.
- Create student schedules and resolve conflicts.
- Coordinate and provide accountability for co-curricular programs such as SOAR.
Discipline and Attendance
- Coordinate the resolution of student discipline.
- Communicate with parents/guardians as partners in the disciplinary process.
- Monitor and provide accountability for student attendance.
Events
- Participate in the planning of various school events including Orientation, Back to School Nights, Open Houses, Senior Trip, Senior Celebration Night, Graduation, end-of-year junior and senior everts, etc.
- Provide supervision for non-instructional time, school events and trips
Admissions
- Participate in the evaluation of new students for admission and placement
Other Duties
- Provide campus-level support and training for Realtime.
- Serve as a member of the school leadership team to problem-solve all major areas of school concern and to plan for school success.
- Perform other duties consistent with the position of Dean of Students which may be required from time to time.
